The Windows Scripting Host has the advantage that current versions of Windows include it and for others it's freely distributable. I'm not sure what the advantages are of VBScript in a windows environment, except that you can create such a script at the MS-DOS prompt. *g*
But they offer real advantage when we deal with FoxPro DOS applications, because they are a simple interface to the windows world. You can use such a script, for example, to print HTML from a DOS application, to create Word documents, and such.
