I know that this is clearly impossible to believe, but could it be your NT install? What Service Pack is currently installed on your NT station with this problem? It's not PC for the problem to be with anything except VFP, I know, but the latest official SP for NT 4.0 was SP6, and a number of hotfixes have been released since. There are known issues with NT SP4, and VFP doesn't play nice at all with NT SP2 or earlier.

NT is very prone to reloading older versions of basic operating components if at some point after applying an NT Service Pack you have to go back to the original NT distribution to add system-components omitted from initial installation. MS strongly suggests reapplying at least the previous most current NT SP after adding things like RAS or other network or key kernel components from the original distribution.

The printer subsystem and video subsystems share some common elements in the Windows GDI layers, so it's also possible that video driver or video card issues could be at the root of this, too.

Misconfiguration of virtual memory resources for NT may be involved, too. NT is far less forgiving of slop in configuration than Win9x or Win2K.

You might want to take a run out to www.ntfaq.com to see if anything there might suggest itself.
