The only place I see for it is in cases where a VFP UI/Client is used. And, of course, in the middle tier when I want to munge data via a cursor. However, given the type of applications we are talking about, those scenarios are few and far between. In other words, while the stengths of VFP components are of immense value, the utility is not coming from cursors per se. Rather, the utility comes from the speed with which VFP Components handle strings - ala XML....
