Tell me, what is the role of a contributing editor? I have always wanted to know. I have heard that it is some sort of a quasi-offical thing. I worked with Drew for a time, and I never quite understood it. Do you actually do any "editing"? Are you contractually bound to Advisor? My understanding is that when you become a Contributing Editor, you are not allowed to write for other magazines. Is that still the case?

Well, I'm a Contributing Editor, is that's what you mean? Just joined the team a few days ago, and signed the first couple of messages in this thread as such. But my comments are not offical Advisor replies, I'm expressing my own opinions.
