A client installed some software from us...VFP 5.0.

On two work stations the software works fine.
On two others, if you edit data and save...when you close the software crashes itself and the PC with a windows protection error.

We assume its the environment, but we are at a lost at to what in the environment could be causing this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Can you verify that the network client on all four machines is exactly the same? To start, are two using Novell Client for Netware and two using the Microsoft client for Netware? (We've seen where the Microsoft client has about 40% more overhead on resources and horribly unstable by comparison) Even if you have Novell's client on all machines, check the performance settings of the client itself. If you have incorrect cache settings, timeouts or packet management, you'll have problems. (and crashing apps at least somewhat protects your data integrity)

Try running the app on a fifth machine as a tiebreaker - do you have more working or not working? <g> Troubleshoot from there.
