After I issued 'DUMP TRANSACTION WITH NO_LOG', the transaction log appears to be still full. I checked for open transactions, and there were none. When I used DBCC SQLPERF (LOGSPACE) to check for % log used, it is at 100% with status of '8'.

Two questions:
1. What does status '8' mean?
2. How come the log is still full?
