Is the secret out now??? VFB, Visual Fox Basic! I can hardly contain myself!

The guys in drag are a tough issue. When I was younger and still living in NYC area it was fun to point out the she-males at clubs. "If it's too good to be true, she could be packing something you don't want"

What do I expect from VFP7? tigher ties to IE/web. The way we work here that is probably counter productive to our product. The M$ line seems to be more browser driven where we are more fat client. Get any presentation by a big systems organization and they show you thin client, and to much time in the world wide wait. With our version you get the speed of the fox and ability to expand your network via the internet.

What else do I expect to see? More Mid Tier stuff, better intergration with ADO record sets.

What would I like to see? A real DBC. Foreget all those lose tables. Give me a real database, it's about time. Have key generation automatic, as well as RI. Why not add a transaction log? All these are factors in RDBMS stats and FP any flavor always made the developer do it. Problem is that the database should do it. Stored Procedures should fire from outside of VFP too.

I would also like to see better intergration with Active X components. If we got that VFB name we might just gain some real features that are deprived in VFP.

I would also love to see a license fee on a new dbc. Say $10/seat. This way M$ could account for the FPITA, VFP, in a way that they could quantify. When M$ quantifies we developers can only benefit.

Why don't we contiue this on Thurs. the 10th of Feb.

>>I agree Barry that NO has the most bang for the time spent. I need to see some tnew things and dream on how to implement them into our present as well as future products.

>Well Stephen, what "NEW" things are you expecting to see in No that haven't already been shown for the last year or so? I think you can expect more "new" stuff to be at the Miami conference, since it will be closer to the release of tne NEW AND IMPROVED WORLD'S FASTEST DATABASE - VISUAL FOXBASIC 7+++.
