I have written some code in VFP to read/write access some tables in from another app written in 2.6.

I am doing this by accessing the tables via updatable view in VFP.
I open the 2.6 tables outside the DBC then run the queries to generate the views inside the DBC.

This seem to be working fine so long as I make sure my view does not have the same name as the 2.6 table I am accessing. (Doing this causes the fault 'PROGRAM LINE TOO LONG')

The view updates the table just fine and 2.6 seems quite happy.

So far so good but I just have this nagging feeling........
