What is it you need help with? Creating a registration key or creating a separate area for the registered version? If you need help with the registration key, what I've used is an API call to get the volume serial number of the local C:\ drive, and then I produce a checksum of that. This technique requires that each machine running the app be registered. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to come up with a way for each workstation to identify what letter they've used to map to the server, and check the volume serial for that drive.
