I won't have to move existing views, as there are any :-). The old projects are 2-tier-apps, with many procedural code, you know coming up from FP2.* to VFP with no time to rewrite lots of code. The database is similar to an unix/informix structure.
I will have a look at the metadbc, as told by William. It seems this is a good solution. Anyway, the Stonefield Database Toolkit might be a good tool for other problems concerning vfp-databases. I will have a look on it.
