Picture a Delbert cartoon
"Cliant": "We've got a lot for you to do so we'd like to put you on the payroll (at less than half your consulting rate).
Me: "OK"
"Cliant": "Big project comming up later after others get the Unix system up and running, for now do all these little grunt work things without direction, without any data structure or maps, and using the several thousand R&R reports that we have been doing all of our data prossessing with."
Me: "OK"
"Cliant" (when others have not been able to get the Unix system up and running): "Boy! it sure took a long time for you find all the data and do that grunt work. This isn't working out. Bye."
So, I worked for half price, got some things done, neglected all posibilities of other business thinking I had a salary for a year or so, and got screwed. I took RHI's Visual FoxPro Proficiency test just to be sure for myself that "they" weren't right about me not being proficient and scored 90%. Contacted all the old cliants and everything has been running fine (damnit!) and they have been getting along quite nicely without me the last few months. How do I get back in the swing?
