Can't be done, at least not as of vfp5. As Ed said, use a top-level for it. But I would add, put the statusbar control into a bottom-docked vfp toolbar, or it will not function well. Then it works like a champ, and has complete multi-panel control.

BTW, you can probably get rid of all those unwanted entries with SET TALK OFF and SET MESSAGE TO ' ' in a few places as needed.
