Afraid so < s >. Andy Kramek and Paul maskens did a presentation on optimizing VFP for the SDGN conference in Holland last May. I helped Andy with the sample code and the results were definitive. As a matter of fact, when there was no filter in place or a filter that was not optimizable, LOCATE was significantly slower than GO TOP (Like by a factor of 1000)
