I think you mean KeyPress() <g> ... but I did that and it didn't make a difference. The NODEFAULT simply stops the CURRENT control from it's actions (if I'm inside a grid or another textbox, it won't go to the next one in the tab order). It doesn't do anything to stop the ESC key from doing something or the F2 key?? If you have a moment, you should try it. I think the ESC key operates outside the normal bounds of the KeyPress logic at the form level. MS KN Library has an article on it as a bug where the TAB key is also detected at the form level when the keypreview is .F.
