Actually, Randy, AFAIK MS does not use professional test authors. They use independent subject matter experts (SMEs) to author the questions or scenarios after some heavy training on style and format. They then massage the questions using a professional editor, a manager, and internal SMEs to review for technical accuracy.

Of course, the total time I wasted scrolling on the 640x480 monitor precluded having enough time to go back and check all the questions I had marked. Gee, are we ever a wordy bunch! (Mea culpa here too.) Gives me a lot of respect for professional test writers.
