You should get single-spaced output unless the width of your fields overflows the line and wraps around. Do you get double-spacing with just one field? Also you might use

LIST OFF TO PRINT

to get rid of the record numbers at the beginning of the line, or shorten some of the fields, such as

LIST OFF TO PRINT FIELDS custcode, LEFT(name,20), zip
