understood. the point i was trying to put accross was how important is it to "wrap" your app in a "object" and what is the principle behind it. i'm from the old school of COBOL and this OOP is new to me. thanks for responding jess. if i don't respond back it's because i'm on my way to san antonio to meet a client.
