I never tried to set the order to the IDX order. IMO the index is only neccesary when you want to use it into a one-to many relation.

for ordering I make sure that the tables are in the correct order alsready without an index. I assume that you are using FOX 2.x tables to reports off. Why can't you make the a temp table, to be used, arranged in the rigth order ?
