There is a quote from the letter we got with MSDN:

"...
New monthly shipment schedule. You'll receive monthly shipments at a prespicified date each month, ... Note: The MSDN Library will continue to ship on a quarterly basis."

As you can see it's really (at least promissed) monthly updates.
