Shuli, a drive mapping only occurs when a user logs in to the local machine. A web server machine is usually unattended and not logged in. In this case I don't believe there is any drive mappings. I could be wrong though.
If your other machine is a NT server, you should be able to make the ODBC connection using a Machine locator string (whatever it was called). Something like this:
\\xyzserver\xyzshare\xyzdirectory\xyz.dbc
It would be a combination of the syntax used to create the drive mapping on the web server and the directories to get to the database.
