Barbara - exactly. I wanted to make sure the exe would open, before I got much further, and it didn't, which was important to know. As I said, it had something to do with the way I subclassed, and I can do it all over before I get too far.
Of course the real testing will be the full environment, including testing with more than one user on a non-development machine.
