This can happen when you cut and paste a textbox that you have the Format or InputMask or some other property set for one type of data, such as character or numeric and are using the Builder on the textbox having manually specified another type of data as the controlsource, or if you have changed the datatype on the source table and re-run the Builder. You should not have to get rid of anything in the dataenvironment; simply add a new textbox from the same classlib and run the Builder against that (less hassle).
