I've played with Rational Rose Demos and integrated the VFP gubbins, which works well enough, but (bearing the price of Rose in mind) other than MSVM, is anyone using any other modelling tools that are cheaper.

Markus makes a good arguement in his book that the round-trip code capabilities in VM/Rose are something you should seriously consider. The new VM/Rose modeling wizards really have helped with this. I've played with VM a little and would really like to use Rose, but can't afford. I'll be using VM in the future.
