Well, I found something out. My problem was related to the fact that I DIDN'T
retain 3.0 property values in my 3.0 to 50 conversion. There's a check box
in the coversion dialog that asks if you want to retain the 3.0 property
values. Well, I didn't the first time and one of my forms didn't like being
any skinnier than 132 pixels no matter what I did. It's a long story, but I
ended up re-converting and I checked the box and when I opened the form set,
the skinny window was 132 (UHH!) but when I set it down to 104 (where I wanted
it and where it was in 3.0) and saved the form set and re-opened it, it DID
stay at 104!! So my problem was tied to the fact that I DIDN'T retain the 3.0
property values. Help said this:
Visual FoxPro 5.0 default property settings for fonts and colors are Windows
95 compliant and sometimes different from Visual FoxPro 3.0 settings. If you
check this option, your converted forms will retain the Visual FoxPro 3.0
property settings.
So who knows what other aspects are affected when this box is left unchecked
at conversion time. I KNEW it was font related somehow!
