>>>Do you want to know what was in my box at home?
>>
>>Sure, Dave, go ahead. Break my heart on my birthday.
>
>Well, first things first. Happy birthday. May this year bring UPS to your door many times.
Thanks, Dave. Now that's a pleasant thought.:-)
>Now, my box... It wasn't yours and it wasn't a free MSDN subscription! It was a large box full of little packages of biscotti that my wife had ordered from a catalog company. They were supposed to be Y2K gifts for friends and family -- just a little bit late.
Just a little...How'd it come, snail mail. I used to work in downtown Chicago for an educational film distributor. We sent the films via Parcel Post (U.S. Snail, IOW). We had a pickup service that took the films to the Main Chicago branch. One time it took 10 days to go from there to the University of Illinois. I should point out that it was the University of Illinoi
at Chicago Circle, which is two blocks from the main branch.
>Add to that the fact that our new dog, who was supposed to arrive on a Delta flight yesterday, is now delayed until Sunday afternoon, and I was one sad puppy last night!
Little play on words there, eh, Dave? Well, I hope the dog arrives safe and sound.
