When using the DTS ensure that you do not use smalldatetime fields (SQL side) as these do not work with VFP tables. smalldatetime is the default that the DTS uses for the VFP driver. If using the Wizard check the Transform Elipsis when importing, otherwise if using a hand crafted DTS, change from smalldatetime to datetime when it suggests the potential table to create.
