This is a pretty general answer since I've not had occasion to try it. But I would think you couls the VFP ODBC driver from VC++ to work on tha data.

Why will VFP not work with your scanner? Is there an interface for applications for it? I'm interested in what things you have done to try to interface VFP with it.
