I am trying to install PWS 4.0 on a Win95 machine that is not on a LAN. I am also using Microsoft IE5.

After flailing away at this thing for a while, it appears that the only way PWS operates is if I also have an active internet connection. The help files note that I must bypass the proxy server for my lcal machine, and that I need to change my IP Address everytime I want to use PWS or use my regular dial-up connection. But even after changing my IP Address, it does not operate properly. During install I did get an error message on one of the MTS components.

Is there a way to use PWS without an active internet connection?
