I am using a bubblejet printer and the clients is a dotmatrix. I am doing this because I need the printer to stop printing after a set number of labels are printed instead of issuing a formfeed.

You have to manually (by opening the .frx file as a table with the use command) remove the bad information in the tag and tag2 fields...
