FOXUSER.DBF and FPT are the RESOURCE file, which stores informaion about a number of user preference related issues in it. It need notbe used. Including the following statement:

RESOURCE=OFF

in the CONFIG.FPW will prevent it from being referenced or created.

You may want to use the resource file to control default positioning of things like print preview windows; You can specifya particular location for the FOXUSER file instead of completelydisabling it. See the SETRESOURCE topic,and the section on Configuring VFP inthe on-line help.
