>I work with VFP, I am taking a class in VB. I have a project using the ADO control along with coding a menu option to add and delete records. I am having a bit of a problem keeping track of what is going on. I just don't like that fact that I don't know what 'state' things are in. I am always able to cause errors. I am feeling right now that you should either use the ADO control or code the stuff yourself from scratch. Is this just a newbie question or is this something that others have had to deal with? I am looking for any input. Thanks for the Help.

Use the "Data Form Wizard" in the menu add-ins. It will create code for you. It is a great sample for starting.
