I was just wondering if anybody could help me with a problem I've been having.
On certain tables the header corrupts, reporting that there are fewer records than actually exit. This leads to overwritten records and lost data.
The tables are buffered, and I have worked out that the table updates work correctly. I once noticed a record that was added correctly yet became corrupt an hour later.
We use Novell 5 and VFP 6.0 SP3.
We have had to write a piece of code that checks all table headers and automatically re-writes them if corrupt - complete rubbish!
Please help as my boss if thinking of going over to SQL server and VB if we can't solve this problem!!!
Thanks for your time, any input would be greatly appreciated.
