Besides what the others have said, for some of us, this is our peer group. There are no other programmers where I am either, and no one else who understands the "programmer personality".

So, this is a sort of social life for us too.

Lots of folks post while they're waiting for a project to build, etc. so it looks like they're hardly working, when in truth they're multi-processing.
