For a demo application we need to disable the print button on the preview toolbar that comes up when previewing a report in VFP 6.0. To do this we made a custom toolbar and captured it in Foxuser.dbf, saved the record to a table with another name and set resource to that table before running the report preview. Everything worked well until we found that we had to upgrade the DLL files, VFPr6.dll and VFP6renu.dll. The old dll file dates are 06/15/98 and the new are 05/07/99. Now Visual FoxPro 6.0 does not seem to read the resource file at all, it pulls up the standard preview toolbar with the print button on it and overwrites the resource table custom preview toolbar with the standard preview toolbar. Modification of the standard preview toolbar is not allowed. We can stop the overwrite but can not find a way to make FoxPro read the resource file and put up the custom preview toolbar. Any ideas or ways to get the job done?
