Thanks - however it's that exact grid I'm trying to get away from. The list view seems so much better behaved with regard to sorting on columns by clicking the header, adding images and check boxes, and generally fitting the users' expectations of how lists should work - not to mention the simplicity of OLE Drag/Drop.
I'm leaning towards the suspicion that I'll have to go to a 3rd party control.

>Andrew, someone smarter may have a way to do this, but I solved the problem using a grid without lines instead of a listbox. With the grid you can format cell by cell if desired.
