Hi Stephen,
Ricardo is correct that you can have 2 controls in your column, and simply set the currentControl property to whichever control you want to be used. However, by following the steps you mentioned in your original message, you SHOULD be able to delete the textbox regardless of whether or not there is another control in that column. I don't know WHY your environment is behaving the way it is, but when I followed the steps you provided, the textbox was deleted (as I thought it would be). I wouldn't simply ignore the fact that the environment isn't behaving the way you expected it to, and I'm sorry i can't provide you with the answer of why. Sounds like your approach should've worked. Hopefully someone else on here has some insight to help you out.
