when I append from an excel file that is Excel 97 or above,
my entire VFP application (even in design mode) disappears with the message: Fata Error: Exception code=C00000005

When I save that excel file as Excel 5.0/95 workbook then append, it works.

Unfortunately, my clients send me the Excel97 file every month.
I have to manually convert it to Excel 5 before appending.

Anyone knows why ?
