We have had a big discussion on this locally (ie: customers) on the optimal res. We are on the verge of declaring 800x600 the standard res. It is all a matter of old harware dying (s).

I had 'thought' I had read somewhere where 800x600 was the MS target res -- but cannot remember where I saw this at.
