Yes yes yes....! We did it!

We were all pretty close. Ed and Randy were suggesting almost the same thing. Randy nails down every possibility although I did not use the DELETED tag since this dBF has no deleted record in it.

Anyway the workstation time is now about 5.28 to 5.68 seconds. This is great!

I thought of my first goal about reaching the "Browse for" time of .01 second.
That does not make sense since a "Browse for" is just a pointer on the 15 to 23 lines we see in the window. Page down only then advance the pointer to the next 15 to 29 lines and so on. This is why it is so fast. The SELECT SQL physicaly retrieve and copy the information from the server to the CURSOR or whaterver dBF. It cannot be as fast.

Anyway, the search is over and I am very satisfied with the results.
