Try this, Mark:

Right click on the grid. Select Edit. Then bring up the Form Controls dialog. Click on the control you want. Then move ther cursor to the column and click.

> thanks for your reply but I can't quite get the hang of it... I'm creating a text box, setting its properties and dragging it onto the area where the grid is displayed...Is this right? All I'm getting is a textbox over a grid...They are not connected in any way...
