Thanks for asking.
In 1996 and 1997 my primary focus was on application development and in automating manual functions at my workplace - using VFP. I did such a good job that when my boss left for greener pastures in the spring of 98', I applied for and got his job - managing a (primarily) operations department.
I learned over the last two years how much I missed the hands-on development work . . . and how much I hated managing an operational unit - now I'm back doing developement work - managing and working with a small group here in our IT division developing what we refer to as 'Quick Win' applications.
Problem is they want us to just use Access or SQL as the database - I'm doing my best to convince them that there is a place for all of Microsoft's databases.
However, we all know how 'politically uncorrect' it is be developing with Fox, now don't we . . . Wish me luck.
