>>>I've build an Icon file for my vfp 5.0 app. I used imagedit to create it. It's an 16 color 32x32 with an 16 color 16x16 icon file. Then in the project manager i included the icon file. When the application was tested on other machines, the app crashed on several places at random interval (never the same place, never the same time). causing a GPF in module GDI.EXE.

>>>After removing the icon from the project file, the problem disappears. When replacing the icon the problem reappears again, so i'm verry certain the icon file is the couse of the problem.

However, to be sure that the file hasn't somehow been corrupted, I'd first re-create it, then attach the new icon to the project and re-build.

Nope, I've successfully built a 256 color icon into my latest application in VFP 6 SP3 and are having no problems with users starting it. There might be a problem in earlier versions, however. I can't test this because I don't have access. If a problem in earlier versions did/does exist in might be related to VFP improperly identifying the resource in the header.
