Does VFP have a limit on number of joins you can have in a local view?

I'm building one with 10 'left outer joins' and I get an error saying "SQL: To many SubQueries" ... which in itself is kind of bogus since I don't have any real 'subqueries'...but I guessing maybe the problem is with all the joins???
