In your VFP program directory, create a text file (you can use the FoxPro command, MODIFY COMMAND) with the following line:

MVCOUNT=2000

You can use whatever # you want for 2000 up to 65,000. For more info, look in the online documentation under "Technical Reference -> System Information -> Special Terms for Configuration" and "Installation -> Chapter 3".
