That is how textboxes with SET( 'CONFIRM' ) = 'OFF' work. TextBoxes input one line only. Confirm OFF will move the cursor to the next control in the tab order when the length of the controlsource is reached.

Either use an editBox as Nick says, or at least, set confirm on so that the user knows they've reached the end of the field.
