Server crashes with the database open and the DCX is now corrupt. The next time I open the DBC, I get an error about the index does not match, delete and recreate. This is easy enough to do from VFP command window, I just erase the DCX, open the DB exclusive and issue a validate database which rebuilds the DCX.

... and the answer is... YES!. If you delete the DCX, and use the SDT OpenData() method, the DCX will be rebuilt.
