One package that I use to propagagte changes to tables, views, indexes, the DBC and such is Stonefield Database Toolkit. It stores metadata describing the files at the site. The metadata is used to create fresh files from scratch, reindex, pack and validate the file system in the field. Any element of a DBC or free table can be updated in the field simply by sending out new metadata with the updated details and invoking a method to apply the changes.
