It's not just the scripting stuff; the real immediate payoff to the VFP crowd comes from the wonderfull automation objects like Wscript.Shell, Wscript.Network, Scripting.FileSystemObject, Scripting.Dictionary and Vbscript.RegExp that have become available to us, not only in scripts, but in anyenvironment where we can interact with these useful COM objects. ADSI is another technology that opens new opportunities for interacting with the operating system, both locally and within their large frames of reference such as LANs,domains, NDS trees and the like - and makes these system stores available through ADO; just another OLE DB provider. And there's more on the plate - WMI (which is giving me real fits with VFP now) promises even greater capability for interaction.
