Hi everybody, happy Friday.

I have used the VFP6 setup wizard to create a CAB file for an application. When the user installs the program and runs the executable the first thing it does is look for a text file (identity.txt). This file contains a lot of information which is different for each of our customers.

This file is not part of the CAB file because…
Ideally, I want to keep the main CAB file on a master disk & just tag on the individual id file when I burn a new CD for distribution.

Here’s the question at last.
If the user didn’t select the default file location in setup-wizard, is there any way I can return the destination they installed it to. (it could have been installed across a network.) If I know the path I can write a simple batch file to copy the identity.txt file to the directory where the program is installed.

Any answers, or better suggestions, appreciated.
Mark.
