Hi Mark:

DevCon is the natural place for experienced developers, but for beginners...??? I'm not certain they would get much out of it without at least some understanding of the basics and terminology.

The whole staff trucks off to DevCon every year, but this is the first year we have hired promising CS students with a nice grasp of programming theory but not a lot of background in VFP. So we are looking for basic training.

Thanks for your input.

Regards,

J M Edgar

>Since you are in Longview, traveling will be probably involved unless you pay extra for on-site training. There is a video series by Jim Booth, and DevCon is always a good learning experience. For $1000 per person plus lodging/meals, you get 4+ days of training in either New Orleans or Miami. Your travel expenses would probably be cheaper in New Orleans.
